چکیده
The structural performance of a steel-concrete-steel sandwich beam (SCSSB) with welded stirrups to the steel skin plates as shear connections exposed pure torsion load was studied in this paper. Eight SCSSB specimens were fabricated and tested under torsion. effects compressive strength concrete core, 26 35 MPa, thickness top bottom plates, 2 4 mm, degree interaction, which represents number stirrups, between core are 75, 100, 125%. experiment beams revealed similar mode failure for all regarding considered variables, started inclined cracks along specimens’ side faces ended local separation one (top or bottom) core. In addition, results showed an increase torsional connection ratio plate, well However, it observed that ductility is proportional directly plate interaction inversely strength. use could reduce negative effect increasing on SCSSB. Finite Element Instability Analysis of the Steel Joist of Continuous Composite Beams with Flexible Shear Connectors
Composite steel/concrete beams may buckle in hogging bending regions. As the top flange of I-beam in that arrangement is restricted from any translational deformation and twist, the web will distort during buckling presenting a phenomenon often described as restricted distortional buckling. There are limited studies available in the literature of restricted distortional buckling of composite st...
متن کاملExperimental Study on Mechanical Behavior of Shear Connectors of Square Concrete Filled Steel Tube
In order to quantitatively evaluate the shear-bearing capacity of shear connectors of square concrete filled steel tube (CFST), push-out tests on 14 square CFSTs with shear connectors have been carried out. Among the 14 CFSTs, there are 13 specimens with steel plate connectors and one specimen with steel bar connectors. The following factors are investigated to figure out their influences on th...
متن کاملBehavior of Steel–Concrete Composite Beams with Corroded Shear Studs Under Negative Bending Moment
The behavior of corroded steel–concrete composite beams under hogging moment was studied by experimental investigation and theoretical analysis. A total of eight specimens, six of which had corroded shear studs, were tested. The corrosion rate of studs ranged from 0 to approximately 50%. The constant-current accelerated corrosion method was adopted to accelerate the corrosion process. The loadi...
